The staff were very friendly. Thanks to the two ladies who served me! The place was really nice and the atmosphere was light and refreshing. Plus the toilets were super clean. I ordered a cinnamon and cappuccino. It was all perfect. A very good cup as well. A nice little treat when taking yourself out.

Finally made it to Turning Point and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's bright and spacious inside with a beautiful yet simple interior. We were shown to our table quickly and given time to look over their delicious sounding menu. They offer breakfast for most of the day, and lunch from late morning, so there's a lot to choose from, but I decided to go with the Two Cheese Beef Burger, but just asked them to hold the brie. The mix of pickled onions and English mustard, gave it a nice punch and a distinctive difference to other burgers out there. The fries with it were spot on; perfectly cooked and tasty. I will say, however, that another reviewer (or two) were right when they said the brioche buns were dry and crumbly. I really wish restaurants and cafes would give you the option of a bun. I don't like brioche buns (mainly because I don't like sweet and savoury together), because they CAN be dry, and this is the part where the meal let us down just slightly. With that all said, I really recommend Turning Point for either breakfast, lunch or brunch. Parking CAN be brutal (it's right outside a train station), though yesterday there were cars pulling in and out of spaces, so you can be lucky. It's worth it though, because the food is good and I cannot wait to come back and try other items they have on offer (which can also extend to their cabinet of treats near the cash register where they sell items to go, if you wish ...).

A random decision to stop here after running a race to raise money for breast cancer in Brighton and trying to find something nice to eat that was away from all the crowds. This little gem had delicious food and great service that really stood out. I'll be back for another visit when I'm back in the area.

What a find! Waking up on a rainy Saturday morning, we decided to try this cafe, situated right next to Ripponlea Train Station. Really good coffee but what really made it for us was the food. New on their menu is the amazing Ba Baa Lamb Burger! Succulent lamb patty with haloumi in a brioche bun... Words can't describe it because my mouth was so full! The service was really nice and the staff very warm and friendly! Definitely coming back here with friends and family!

The place is pretty big and there's plenty of parking outside the cafe. They have nice sitting arrangements but it was a little painful to sit on a hard wood bench inside the cafe for an hour or so. They should have some cushions on the bench inside the cafe. However, the ambiance was calm and the cafe was not too noisy. We booked the table half an hour before we reached and the table was ready with the menus and water before we arrived. Good to see our table ready to go. The staff was very welcoming and smiling all the time. I would love to see a smiling staff before ordering my first coffee in the morning. We ordered Flat white and Cappuccino which were very good in taste. The barista tried to have a complex Latte art but could not do a great job on it. However, full marks on the taste. We ordered Shakshuka and chilli scrambled eggs. I liked Shakshuka as it was not too sour and the spices were well balanced. The chilli scrambled eggs was presented with mushrooms on the top on a single piece of bread which I prefer instead of 2. I would love to visit this place again for a good coffee and to try some other food.

We were invited to Turning Point Ripponlea to try their winter menu, and we were impressed! A hidden gem just across Ripponlea train station and not too far away from the tram stop. We started off with a soy latte and a calming Lemongrass Ginger tea. The tea was perfect for a cold rainy day! We also ordered the green smoothie and the chocolate peanut butter smoothie - the PB smoothie was bloody good! It was super rich, thick, creamy and the peanut butter flavor was exploding in the mouth, a must try here. And for the main meal, we ordered the eggs benny and the warm pumpkin salad. The eggs benny was delicious, and the portion was super generous compared to other places we've been to recently. The beef cheek was tender, full of flavor, and it blends well with the potato rosti and that hint of rosemary. The warm pumpkin salad was also delicious - soft, sweet, perfectly roasted, and served warm. Again, massive portion, which is always a good thing. The pesto flavor was not too overpowering, and it blends well with buckwheat, toasted seeds, and the puree. We genuinely thought this is really a great menu for winter in this city! Perhaps our only minor criticism is the lack of salt on the buckwheat but this is coming from us who are a heavy salt-eater :) Finally, the Winter Waffles were incredible! The texture of the waffle was perfect - it was crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy within. The toppings were plentiful and we have to admit all the components work really well together, and it wasn't overly sweet either - great menu for sharing. Highly recommend trying their waffles! Overall, amazing visit! Decorations on point, the long table is great for a big group! We would highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area or even far!

I came here with a friend for breakfast. We started off with the raspberry and banana 'nice cream' with cubed watermelon. I was pleasantly suprised with the presentation and taste. I am partial to watermelon and a healthy ice cream for breakfast was too appealing not to miss. The truffle scrambled eggs with trout, caviar and herbed creme friache served on a brioche slice was particularly good. Great flavour, eggs cooked to perfection, filling. The vegan/gluten free cocoa pops was my least favorite dish but can appreciate the need for a breakfast that isn't too sweet. Choose the nice cream for a VG / GF sweet brekkie. Coffee was good and came very quickly. It was busy on a Sunday morning but the staff weren't feeling the pressure. Aesthetically, I love the black and white colour scheme with finished wood throughout. the fingerprint ridges of the logo translate to the wood framing inside. Clean but not clinical. A great addition to Ripponlea. Disclaimer: Invite.

Awesome cafe - bright light space with modern decor. Amazing service right from the minute you arrive. Excellent menu with a great choice of breakfast/ Brunch and Lunch dishes. My Eggs Benny was probably one of my favourite breakfast-brunch dishes I’ve had in a very long time! The eggs are served on top of two large hash brown cubes - exceptional hash browns. The Three Point Turn (Full brekkie) was pretty awesome too. Both dishes are huge portions. Coffee .... hmmm, incredible coffee. Strong with a good crema on top. Rich velvety caramel notes, and without any bitterness at all - just perfect. This cafe certainly has it all - great food, coffee, service and ambiance! Highly recommend.
